I MEMORIAM nascono per riempire il vuoto lasciato dalla tragica morte di Martin “Kiddie” Kearns, il batterista dei BOLT THROWER, a settembre 2015. Poiché i BOLT THROWER hanno deciso di interrompere le loro attività, il cantante Karl Willetts ha avuto l’opportunità di sviluppare un nuovo progetto con vecchi amici. I MEMORIAM sono una band old school death metal, che mantiene alti gli standard già raggiunti con i precedenti gruppi, e trattano temi di morte, perdita e guerra. Inizialmente i membri del gruppo hanno iniziato suonando delle cover di canzoni che li hanno influenzati nella loro carriera all’interno della scena death metal, ma ben presto si sono resi conto che i nuovi brani composti erano di alto profilo.
